Yes,
we are talking about Windows Performance Monitor tool to monitor the
Exchange Server. There are lots of predefined counters in Performance
monitor that can be used to check the health of the Exchange Server. It
is pretty difficult for us to manually monitor these counters. We can
set alerts in the Performance monitor to alert us when specified counter reaches or exceeds its limits. Â Here are few counters that you should use for alerts-based monitoring of your Exchange Server 2007:-
· System/Processor Queue Length counter
· Network Bandwidth counter
· Memory/Available Mbytes counter
2. System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) 2005
This is the Microsoft product and recommended software to monitor Exchange Server. Since this software is expensive so out of reach for small companies.
