How to Disable OWA Access in Exchange Server 2007

By-default OWA access is enabled for all the users, which means any user can access his/her mailbox from the Internet Explorer by entering URL, https://ExchangeAddress/OWA

We can disable this OWA access for individual users by following below steps:-

1. Click on Start > Programs and then Microsoft Exchange Server 2007.
2. Click on the Exchange Management Console (EMC).
3. Expand Recipient Configuration, right click on any user and open its Properties tab. 

 

 4. On Properties tab, click Mailbox Features tab on the top. Here you will see OWA access is enabled, by-default.

 

5. To disable OWA access for this user, select the Outlook Web Access and click Disable.

 

5. Next time, this user will be unable to open his/her mailbox from Internet Explorer.
