Exchange Server 2007 Service Pack 2 provides a new feature to allow
administrators for detailed auditing event log entries to be recorded
in the Event viewer for troubleshooting. Diagnostic logging stores logs
related to messages, folders, replication, and topologies and so on.
Instead
of logging these events in the application log of Event Viewer,
Exchange writes these event logs into a new event log called Exchange Auditing event log.
How to Enable Diagnostic Logging in Exchange Server 2007
1. Open the Exchange Management Console.
2. Expand Server Configuration and click on Mailbox.
3. On the result pane, click on the Manage Diagnostic Logging Properties..
4. Select the Services and their logging levels.
5. Once Exchange will start collecting logs, it will save in the Exchange Auditing section of Event Viewer.
