How to Create New Storage Group in Exchange Server 2007
- Click on Start > Programs and then Microsoft Exchange Server 2007.
- Click on the Exchange Management Console (EMC).
- Expand Server Configuration, and then click on Mailbox.
- Under Database Management tab, right click on white space and click on New Storage Group.
5. Enter the name of Storage Group and confirm the Log and System file location by clicking on the Browse tab.
6. Click on the New to create the new Storage group. Once the group is created, you will see confirmation window as shown below.
How to create new Mailbox Database in new Storage Group
1. Right click on newly created Storage Group (Sales Storage Group) and click on New Mailbox Database.
2. Enter any Mailbox database name and confirm the Database file location by clicking on the Browse tab.
3. Click on the New to create this Mailbox database. Once created, you will see confirmation window as shown below.
How to add new Mailboxes in the new Storage Group and Mailbox Store
While creating a new mailbox, make sure to select Storage Group and Mailbox database as shown below.
Once user is created, you can confirm the Storage Group and Mailbox store from the EMC as shown below.
