How to Create a New Mailbox in Exchange Server 2007

Here are the steps to create a new mailbox in Exchange server 2007. Unlike Exchange Server earlier editions, Domain user and Exchange mailbox can be created from the ESM.

  1. Click on Start > Programs and then Microsoft Exchange Server 2007.
  2. Click on the Exchange Management Console (EMC).
  3. Expand Recipient Configuration and then click on Mailbox. 
  4. Right click on Mailbox and click on New Maibox..option.


 
  
5. In the Introduction window, select User Mailbox option.

 

6. In User Type window, select New user option.

 
7. Enter user's details in User Information page.


 

8. Confirm Server, Storage group and Mailbox Database in Mailbox Settings page.


 

9. Confirm the Configuration Summary and click Next.



 

10. Once user is completed, Confirmation window will appear.


 
11. Same user will be displayed in the Active Directory Users and Computer snap-in.
